A New Chapter of Diverse Cooperation in Photovoltaic Power Generation and Energy Storage

PCG Power has achieved successful grid synchronization of two strategic distributed energy installations: an 8.25MW rooftop photovoltaic system at Midea Group (Wuhu) Kitchen & Bath Appliances Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Anhui Province, and a hybrid 0.72MW PV+1.5MW/3MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Midea Cleaning Appliances Co., Ltd. in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, demonstrating technical compliance with State Grid integration protocols and PCG Power's expertise in photovoltaic power generation and energy storage while advancing regional decarbonization roadmaps aligned with national dual-carbon policy objectives.

Photovoltaic Power Generation Lights Up Green Hope

PCG Power's 8.2MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project at Anhui Wuhu Midea Kitchen & Bath Appliances Mfg. Co., Ltd. maximizes rooftop space and adopts the mode of "self-generation for self-consumption, with excess power fed into the grid". This mode plays a crucial role in helping Midea achieve low-carbon production, cost reduction, and efficiency increase. This project also provides enhanced thermal insulation for factory buildings and addresses insufficient power supply during peak power consumption periods in summer.

Over the 25-year operational period, this project will generate power of approximately 190 GWh as projected, equivalent to saving around 2,428 tons of coal and reducing CO2 emissions by about 6,362 tons per year, yielding considerable economic, social, and environmental benefits.

Wuhu Midea Kitchen & Bath Appliances Mfg. Co., Ltd. is a large-scale manufacturer and R&D base under Midea Group, specializing in the production and operation of water heaters, gas appliances, drinking water equipment, water purification equipment, dishwashers, disinfection cabinets, range hoods, and stoves. The titles of "National Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory" and "5G Fully-Connected Factories" from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology were presented to the company in 2023.

Integration of Photovoltaic Power Generation and Energy Storage Leads a Green Future

PCG Power's photovoltaic power generation + energy storage project at Jiangsu Suzhou Midea Cleaning Appliances Co., Ltd., is located in Suzhou's Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone. The photovoltaic power generation section maximizes the rooftop space to design and install the solar array without changing the original architectural style and appearance. Adopting the mode of "self-generation for self-consumption, with excess power fed into the grid", it is expected to generate approximately 17.81 GWh of power within the 25-year operational life, equivalent to saving around 284 tons of coal and reducing CO2 emissions by about 710 tons per year, yielding remarkable ecological and economic benefits.

The energy storage section utilizes the open space within the factory of Jiangsu Midea Cleaning Appliances Co., Ltd. to build user-side energy storage facilities with a 1.5MW/3MWh capacity, helping balance power supply and demand within the factory, adjust power consumption load, and alleviate the enterprise's power consumption pressure through effective peak-load shifting, while reducing its dependence on the traditional power grid.

Jiangsu Midea Cleaning Appliances Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Midea Group Co., Ltd., is a high-tech enterprise integrating the R&D, design, manufacturing, sales, and service supply of vacuum cleaners.
